Bill Murray to Lead Coming-of-Age Story ‘St. Vincent De Van Nuys’
Though Bill Murray hasn’t been absent from the big screen, the actor hasn’t had a lead role since Broken Flowers in 2005, usually taking part in ensemble casts. That changes later this year as Murray portrays FDR in Hyde Park on Hudson, a turn that will likely get him an Oscar nod, and now the actor is taking another lead role in St. Vincent De Van Nuys, a coming-of-age project which made the Black List. Variety reports Murray is in early talks to star in the film which follows a 12-year old boy who, in the wake of his parents’ divorce, forms an unlikely friendship with the misanthropic retiree (Murray) living next door.
