‘Hook’ and ‘Who Framed Roger Rabbit’ Star Bob Hoskins is Retiring

Frankly, I’m just glad this isn’t an obituary, but this news isn’t much easier to swallow. BBC News has word that British actor Bob Hoskins is retiring from acting after being diagnosed with Parkinson’s disease, the same affliction which Michael J. Fox has been fighting for years now. The 69-year old actor has opted to leave behind his profession in order to spend more time with his family. As someone who grew up seeing Hoskins in films like Hook and Who Framed Roger Rabbit? (and yes, even Super Mario Bros.), this truly is a sad day for me and fans of the work Hoskins has put in over the past forty years. More below!
