Indie Trailer Sunday: Dustin Hoffman Directs Opera Singers in ‘Quartet’
“This is not a retirement home… This is a mad house.” The Weinstein Co has finally debuted the full release trailer for Dustin Hoffman’s directorial debut Quartet, a quirky indie drama set at a home for retired opera singers. The cast is what sells it the most, featuring legends like Michael Gambon, Maggie Smith, Billy Connolly, Pauline Collins and Tom Courtenay. A trailer hit back in July, but was pulled down, this is the new official one since the film will show in limited theaters this December. It looks like it’s not only a delightful comedy, but also an interesting look at music, or musicians/singers, of old and new. Take a look.
