Indie Trailer Sunday: Michael Winterbottom’s ‘Everyday’ TIFF Teaser

Today’s trailer is for an upcoming TIFF film, recently selected in the latest Toronto film batch. It’s the next feature, in the works for five years, from Michael Winterbottom, starring John Simm as a father, who’s in prison for drug smuggling, of a family, and Shirley Henderson as his wife. This is best described by TIFF: filmed over the course of five years, this “documentary-style” feature from Winterbottom “offers a masterful meditation on the daily travails of a family living apart from their imprisoned patriarch.” It’s a short introductory teaser with two scenes, but features lush cinematography and a lighter family moment.
