Kristen Wiig Confirmed for ‘Anchorman: The Legend Continues’ Role

Last December, we learned “Saturday Night Live” alum and Bridesmaids writer and star Kristen Wiig is being lined up to play a love interest for Steve Carell’s dimwitted character Brick Tamland in Anchorman: The Legend Continues. While we don’t have any confirmation on the character details, a tweet from Christina Applegate confirms the news, “So excited Kristen Wiig has joined our cast for [Anchorman 2].” And just to double confirm the story, writer and director Adam McKay also tweeted, “Just found out Kristen Wiig officially on board for Anchorman 2.
