Kurt Russell and More Line Up for Horror Western ‘Bone Tomahawk’

While they dominated the early cinematic landscape, Hollywood simply hasn’t produced as many westerns in the past few decades as they used to; each time someone decides to tackle one, it’s event worth raising an eyebrow over. Screenwriter S. Craig Zahler, who wrote The Big Stone Grid for Michael Mann and the Black List western Brigands of Rattleborge for Park Chan-wook, hasn’t seen either movie produced yet, but now Variety reports he’ll step into the director’s chair for a horror western called Bone Tomahawk that will star Kurt Russell, Richard Jenkins, Peter Sarsgaard, and Jennifer Carpenter.
