‘Safe House’ Director Daniel Espinosa Takes on ‘Child 44’ Thriller Next

After the success of his violent crime thriller Snabba Cash (review here), director Daniel Espinosa moved into the Hollywood scene with this year’s Safe House, starring Ryan Reynolds and Denzel Washington. The film did well for Universal, so Espinosa found himself near the top of many studios’ lists for upcoming films. Now Deadline reports that he’s found his next directing gig in the form of a new thriller called Child 44 for Summit Entertainment and Lionsgate set in Soviet Russia.
