‘Spider-Man’ Producer Avi Arad Developing ‘Metal Gear Solid’ Movie

“Snaaaaake!” Talk of a film adaptation of the popular video game series Metal Gear Solid started back in 2007, but sadly, the most recent update in 2010 from producer Michael De Luca at Columbia Pictures saying, “I don’t think it’s going to move forward because I got the sense that there may not be enough of a coordinated will at this point on the side of certain parties to see a movie get made.” Well, it looks like we’re back to the beginning again as Kotaku (via SlashFilm) has word from a Metal Gear Anniversary even in Tokyo that the film is back in development with Spider-Man producer Avi Arad on board.
