SXSW Adds 15 More Films Including ‘The East’ & ‘Spectacular Now’
Every going to SXSW in Austin this March should consider themselves lucky, the line-up just keeps getting better. Yes, SXSW suckered me into writing yet another post about the films playing at their festival this year, but it’s worth it. They just revealed an additional 15 films for a grand total of 133 features, consisting of 78 World Premieres, 13 North American Premieres, 9 U.S. Premieres, with 76 first-time directors. Among the final additions are James Ponsoldt’s beloved Sundance favorite The Spectacular Now (my review), Zal Batmanglij’s The East (my review), the Linsanity doc (Ben’s review) and more.
