Two Pussy Riot Members Flee Russia [Pussy Riot]

Two members of the Russian punk collective Pussy Riot have fled Russia in order to avoid prosecution for an anti-Putin protest. The other three Pussy Riot members who participated in the protest – Nadezhda Tolokonnikova, Maria Alyokhina and Yekaterina Samutsevich – were recently sentenced to two years in jail for “hooliganism.” According to Tolokonnikova’s husband, Pyotr Verzilov, the two women are safe from Russian authorities.
