Watch: Awesome ‘Monster Roll’ Sushi Chefs vs Sea Monsters Short

“A great war has begun between man and the sea…” We’ve got another awesome short today! Hopefully you’re not having sushi for lunch? This rather amusing proof-of-concept short, directed by Dan Blank, is called Monster Roll, and it’s a funny high concept comedy about sushi chefs vs sea monsters. “It’s a crazy idea, but one we just really wanted to see made. So, we made it.” The story is fun, it’s kind of violent, and while the effects do need more work, I think everything feels fine in context and plays well anyway.
