‘X-Men: First Class’ Director Matthew Vaughn in Talks for ‘Star Wars’?

Another day, another bit of Star Wars news. After last week’s rumor popped up that the original Disney sci-fi movie 1952 from director Brad Bird and writer Damon Lindelof might be a cover for Star Wars, we had a reliable source refute that point with news that the project was something completely different. But now we’re getting news of a different sort as Collider has one source (they’re careful to point out they could not get a second source for confirmation) saying that Matthew Vaughn has been in talks with Disney and Lucasfilm to direct Star Wars: Episode VII. But is there any known director that won’t be up for the gig? When it comes to this job, if there’s a director you could imagine or want taking on the Star Wars franchise, they’ve probably been approached.
