Knives Out 3: Wake Up Dead Man

Rian Johnson is sharpening the blade once again, and Knives Out: Wake Up Dead Man already feels like the most dangerous chapter yet in the Benoit Blanc saga. With Daniel Craig returning to his now-iconic Southern sleuth, the promise of a darker, more morally tangled mystery hangs in the air. The title alone suggests a case that refuses to stay buried, one steeped in secrets, regret, and the kind of slow-burn tension that creeps up on you long before the final reveal. If Knives Out was playful and Glass Onion was flashy, Wake Up Dead Man hints at something moodier, stranger, and far more intimate.

As always, Johnson’s greatest magic trick is assembling a cast that feels designed to make audiences play detective before the opening credits roll. Every performance is bound to feel suspicious, every line of dialogue a potential clue, every smirk a red herring. More than just a whodunit, Wake Up Dead Man is shaping up to be a reminder of why this franchise works so well: smart writing, delicious misdirection, and the joy of watching Benoit Blanc calmly outthink everyone in the room. Consider the knives officially back out and this time, the cuts might go deeper than ever.
