A U.S. Ambassador Wants U.N. Diplomats to Stop Getting So Drunk Before Budget Talks
Budget negotiations at the U.N. are probably boring, drawn-out affairs, and as such, delegates apparently have a tradition of having a drink or two before the meetings begin. You know, to improve the negotiations, beat back crushing loneliness, increase creativity, whatever.
