Actor John Ortiz Developing Biopic on Baseball Manager Ozzie Guillen

If you’ve followed professional baseball over the last decade, you’re likely familiar with the name Ozzie Guillen. One of the more outspoken managers in the sport, Guillen is the first Latino manager in the history of Major League Baseball to win the World Series, bringing the Chicago White Sox their first championship since 1917 when the team won it all in 2005. Now, according to Showbizcafe (via Collider), Silver Linings Playbook actor John Ortiz (who plays Bradley Cooper’s best friend Ronnie in that film) is developing a biopic about the often controversial player-turned-manager in the vein of Moneyball.
