Adam Sandler Lining Up His First Sequel with Another ‘Grown Ups’?
If the Three Stooges trailer wasn’t enough to convince you that 2012 just might be the end of the world after all, Variety is now reporting Sony Pictures and Happy Madison Productions have hired Grown Ups writer Fred Wolf to script a sequel to last year’s summer comedy starring Adam Sandler and his friends David Spade, Chris Rock, Kevin James and Rob Schneider. Looking at the fact that the film is Sandler’s highest grossing film to date, it’s not surprising that Sony would want a follow-up, but as of now Sandler is not entirely sold on the project and his involvement is still contingent on the likely terrible script to come. Some might think I’m being too harsh on the summer comedy, but for anyone who has seen The Big Chill, it’s easy to see that this is just a low brow version of that film with mediocre writing and some …
