Alexander Skarsgard Top Choice for WB’s Unique, Revamped ‘Tarzan’
Hang on to your loincloths, because some new Tarzan news is swinging in. Warner Bros. has been wanting to make a new live action adaptation of this story for years, with Hustle and Flow director Craig Brewer once slated to make an entire trilogy. Harry Potter director David Yates took over just last week, and already casting rumors are bouncing across the interwebs. Tom Hardy, Henry Cavill, Charlie Hunnam, and “True Blood” star Alexander Skarsgard were reportedly being considered for the role, but Variety reports that Skarsgard has come to the forefront as the likely choice, although an official offer has yet to be made.
