Ang Lee Interested in Directing ‘Cleopatra’ Still Starring Angelina Jolie

With the adaptation of Yann Martel’s book Life of Pi getting plenty of awards acclaim (after many considered the story to be unfilmmable), director Ang Lee might get another long-gestating project off the ground. THR recently spoke with the filmmaker at the Palm Springs International Film Festival, and revealed that he’s actually looking at Cleopatra, the historical biopic which still has Angelina Jolie attached in the titular role, as his next film. From a director who has done films like Hulk and Brokeback Mountain, this is yet another completely different project for his career, and that’s what has Lee interested.
