Bad Robot and Valve Could Team for ‘Half-Life’ and ‘Portal’ Movies
While the geek world continues to speculate about Star Wars, Episode VII director J.J. Abrams is making news elsewhere. At the DICE (Design, Innovate, Communicate, Entertain) Summit in Las Vegas earlier this morning, Abrams teamed with Gabe Newell, the president and co-founder of video game company Valve, to speak about the differences between video games and film and discuss a possible creative collaboration between the two. The video game website Polygon (via ComingSoon) was in attendance, and their recap indicates Abrams and Newell hinted about plans to bring movie adaptations of Portal and Half-Life to life.
