Benedict Cumberbatch, Not Leo DiCaprio, Will Play ‘Imitation Game’

After seeing the first photos of Benedict Cumberbatch as WikiLeaks founder Julian Assange, it sounds like the “Sherlock” star will play another real-life figure, this time from further back in the past. Deadline has word that Cumberbatch will take the lead in The Imitation Game, a script from first-time screenwriter Graham Moore which follows Alan Turing, an important man of British history said to be the father of computer science as he played a pivotal role in the creation of the modern computer. Warner Bros. bought the script for seven figures last year with Leonardo DiCaprio looking to star originally. More below!
