Blumhouse Productions Rounds Up Third Horror Franchise in ‘Sinister’

Blumhouse Productions has found great success in mirco budget horror films like the Paranormal Activity franchise, Insidious (and the forthcoming sequel), and now they’re looking at continuing the horrifying tale that began with Sinister. Director Scott Derrickson and writer C. Robert Cargill (formerly of Ain’t It Cool News) were already reteaming for Deus Ex: Human Revolution for CBS Films, based on the 2011 video game of the same name but now they will also reunite for a sequel to the horror 2012 horror film which starred Ethan Hawke and grossed over $77 million worldwide on a small budget of just $3 million.
