Carrie Fisher Confirms Princess Leia’s ‘Star Wars: Episode VII’ Return

Shortly after news of Disney’s revival of Star Wars surfaced with development of Episode VII kicking off a new trilogy, original trilogy star Carrie Fisher, who donned a metal bikini as Princess Leia, confirmed her involvement. However, very quickly following the spread of that news, she said that was a tongue-in-cheek comment. However, Fisher is yet again confirming her involvement, in the wake of Mark Hamill’s confirmation of early talks to return, and this time it doesn’t sound like there’s a retraction in order. While the first news came secondhand from a fan attending a book signing, this comes straight from an interview. Palm Beach Illustrated, in all their movie news glory, flat out asked Fisher if she was returning to the stars. The actress turned writer and comedian said flatly, “Yes.” The interviewer then proceeded to ask her where she sees Leia all these years later.
