Chloe Moretz Amongst Top Contenders to Lead the Remake of ‘Carrie’
I’ll admit that Brian De Palma’s 1976 classic Carrie is on my list of shame. The film is notable for being the first film or television adaptation of a Stephen King novel, and both Sissy Spacek and Piper Laurie earned Academy Award nominations for their performances in the iconic horror film. Back in January, it was announced that the film is getting the remake treatment with Boys Don’t Cry director Kimberly Peirce behind the camera, and now Vulture has the scoop on which two actresses are in contention to lead the new adaptation.
