Chris Tucker Could Star in a Remake of French Hit ‘The Intouchables’

In April, we featured the trailer for a French movie called The Intouchables, a heartwarming film that has gone on to international acclaim and will actually be France’s entry into the Foreign Language category at next year’s Oscar ceremony. Awards guru Harvey Weinstein picked it up for U.S. distribution, but before he did that, he snagged the rights for an English remake with Oscar winner Colin Firth attached to play one of the lead roles. Now, following his strong supporting turn in the Weinstein Co.’s Silver Linings Playbook, the actor told Blackfilm (via ComingSoon) that he’s in talks to play other co-lead role in the remake.
