Christian Bale to Scale ‘Everest’ Climbing Disaster Drama at Universal

After starring in last year’s The Dark Knight Rises, we’re not sure when Christian Bale will next appear on the big screen. Out of the Furnace from Crazy Heart director Scott Cooper should arrive sometime this year and Bale is also slated to appear in a couple of Terrence Malick’s films (if he makes the final cut). In addition, Bale will also star in David O. Russell’s next directing effort formerly known as American Bullshit, also reuniting the director’s Silver Linings Playbook co-stars Bradley Cooper and Jennifer Lawrence. Now Deadline has word that Bale will lead Everest, a mountain climbing disaster film at Universal. More below!
