Colin Farrell Picking Up a Sword for Warner Bros. ‘Arthur & Lancelot’
Last November, Kit Harrington of “Game of Thrones” and Joel Kinnaman of “The Killing” were slated to take the lead roles of Arthur & Lancelot respectively in the medieval epic from Warner Bros. However, the project was killed not too long after, and the actors could no longer commit to the film (after all Kinnaman is RoboCop now). Now the cast seems to have a bigger name as Variety reports Colin Farrell is in talks to star in the film from Wedding Crashers director David Dobkin, a filmmaker venturing into new territory. Farrell’s addition likely gives WB more faith in a film that didn’t have bankable stars before now. In the classic and well-known myth, Lancelot was one of King Arthur’s trusted knights who ends up in an adulterous relationship with his royal highness’ wife, Guinevere.
