Damon Lindelof Won’t Write ‘Prometheus’ Sequel and Explains Why
Just that headline alone is likely giving some cinephiles a sigh of relief. However, I don’t think all the problems with the script for Prometheus came from Damon Lindelof. Sure, if you go read the original script that Jon Spaihts wrote (it’s easy to find online), a lot was changed. But Lindelof was hired to rewrite it, so he did his job, and after that it’s the fault of the producers and director Ridley Scott for not recognizing that the script might not have been up to snuff.
