Dennis Haysbert Replaces Michael Clarke Duncan in ‘Sin City’ Sequel

Rumors about a Sin City sequel lingered for years after the film’s 2004 release, until comic book artist and co-director Frank Miller and Robert Rodriguez officially announced production would begin on Sin City: A Dame to Kill For a few months back. The film is set for release in October of 2013 (and in 3D, no less), and though much of the cast has signed on to reprise their roles from the original, one actor – Michael Clarke Duncan – won’t be able to do that since he sadly passed away back in September. THR reports that “24” actor Dennis Haysbert will now take over the role of Manute in the anticipated sequel. Since this sequel jumps around in time, we’ll see how Manute and Dwight (Clive Owen in the original) meet for the first time and their confrontations leading up to the events of the first movie.
