Director Sam Mendes Now Very Likely to Return for ‘Bond 24’ Next

Completing my 23-film Bond 50 set and arriving on Blu-Ray this week is one of my favorite movies of 2012, James Bond’s Skyfall, directed by Sam Mendes (who we interviewed last year). We’re still two years out from seeing the next Bond movie (possibly late 2014) but ever since Skyfall was released in November, fans have been anxiously awaiting details on the next one, especially because this last one was so damn good. Would Chris Nolan direct? Would we finally see SPECTRE? Well, while nothing is confirmed yet, a report from Baz Bamigboye on The Daily Mail hints that Sam Mendes could be returning for more 007 after all. Baz, who is a reliable source and well-known journalist, wrote a post (via The Film Stage) that details how Mendes is currently 75% “of the way towards doing it.” He needs “to see the finished script before he fully commits,” of course.
