‘Evil Dead’ Remake Now Hitting Theaters a Week Earlier on April 5th

Briefly: Since 20th Century Fox decided to move their buddy cop comedy The Heat starring Sandra Bullock and Melissa McCarthy from April 5th to a summer release on June 28th, that left Jurassic Park 3D as the only wide release that weekend. Well, Sony has decided to take advantage of that schedule change and bumped up the release of Evil Dead from April 12th to the April 5th spot. They let original Evil Dead star Bruce Campbell announce the news on Twitter, “The world cannot wait. The Evil Dead remake launches one week earlier! 4/5/13. You demanded it – you got it!” I’m not sure that we demanded it, but that’s cool.
