First Trailer for Brad Anderson’s Thriller ‘The Call’ Starring Halle Berry
After a phone call kicked off the action in the surprising hit film Taken with Liam Neeson, now we have the aptly titled thriller The Call from director Brad Anderson (The Machinist). Halle Berry leads the film as a 911 operator who ends up dealing with a killer from her past after a young girl calls the center, kidnapped in the trunk of a car. There’s elements of Buried and Cellular with familiar tropes of all other kidnapping thrillers, so it’s not all that thrilling. Plus, I feel like the odds of a single 911 operator encountering the same perpetrator like this are worse than the lottery, but it is a movie after all. Watch it!
