First US Trailer for Peter Webber’s ‘Emperor’ with Tommy Lee Jones

“Let’s show them some good old fashioned American swagger.” Roadside Attractions has debuted the latest official US trailer for Emperor, an indie historic drama starring Tommy Lee Jones and Matthew Fox as two WWII Generals who travel to Japan just as the war is ending to decide if Emperor Hirohito will be hanged as a war criminal. Along the way, Japanese student Aya (Eriko Hatsune) gets into the mix. This actually looks a lot bigger than an indie, with action scenes and potentially a few war flashbacks, as well as beautiful views of Japan after the war. I may try and see this sooner than later, I got a feeling I may enjoy it.
