Guillermo del Toro’s Stop-Motion ‘Pinocchio’ Postponed But Not Dead
When a guy like Guillermo del Toro has more than a few projects in development, a few of the are inevitably going to fall through the cracks and get stuck. Such is the case with del Toro’s new stop-motion adaptation of Pinocchio, which the filmmaker had written with Gris Grimly and Matthew Robins, who has worked with the director for years. We’ve already seen some concept art for the film, and apparently voies were going to be recorded this summer with Daniel Radcliffe and Tom Waits amongst the talents rumored to take part. However, Grimly has a disappointing update for those looking forward to the project. Here’s what Grimly said on Twitter in an update that has since been deleted: “Short to the point update on Pinocchio for those inquiring: It appears that this is not the right time for such a superior-adventurous flick.” The writer went on to sight interested parties’ hesitation …
