Helen Mirren in Talks for ‘Alfred Hitchcock and the Making of Psycho’

After developing over the past four years at Paramount Pictures, the gestating film Alfred Hitchcock and the Making of Psycho with Anthony Hopkins playing the iconic filmmaker and Sasha Gervasi (Anvil! The Story of Anvil) directing is getting new life at Fox Searchlight, a home that really knows how to treat great films. In addition, Heat Vision reports Helen Mirren is now in early talks to join the project as Hitchcock’s wife Alma Reville. Based on Stephen Rebello’s book of the same name, the film chronicles Hitchcock’s struggles to make a little horror film at the height of his career, a film that no studio wanted to touch then. Knowing the outcome of the story and how the film has gone on to become one of the greatest horror films of all-time and generally a cinematic classic, this is one of those stories that should really dig into the interesting story …
