Joe Carnahan’s ‘The Grey’ Also Getting a Limited Awards Re-Release

“Once more into the fray. Into the last good fight I’ll ever know. Live and die on this day. Live and die on this day…” They promised it might happen in October, now it’s actually happening in December. Released back in January of this year is one of my favorite films of the entire year – Joe Carnahan’s The Grey. An intense and utterly realistic (except for the wolves…) take on an arctic plane crash starring Liam Neeson, it was subtly beautiful in many ways, from score to cinematography to screenplay. Carnahan has confirmed himself that the film is getting a limited awards re-release this coming weekend – December 7th. It’s back!
