‘Lincoln’ Leads 66th Annual BAFTA Nominations, ‘Skyfall’ Lands Eight
The nominations for the 85th Annual Academy Awards will be announced tomorrow morning, and the ceremony for the 70th Golden Globe Awards will broadcast live this weekend on January 13th at 8pm EST/5pm PST on NBC. Meanwhile, across the pond, our friends in the United Kingdom just found out the nominations for the 66th Annual BAFTAs (British Academy of Film and Television Arts), the British equivalent of our Oscars here in the United States. Lincoln leads the pack with ten nominations, including Best Picture, and Skyfall even landed eight total nominations (there’s a bit of bias). Meanwhile, the UK gets major credit for nominating Quentin Tarantino as Best Director for Django Unchained. Read on!
