Lionsgate & WWE Entertainment Cast ‘Leprechaun’ Remake Magic
You’ve gotta be kidding me. It’s been nearly ten years since the last movie in the Leprechaun franchise, a comedic horror series about – you guessed it – an evil leprechaun that spawned a shocking six total films from 1993-2003. After the character went to Vegas, space, to the hood, and then Back 2 Tha Hood, I thought we’d seen the last of the murderous, rhyming, gold-obsessed mastermind. But somebody give Warwick Davis a call, because the series has been given new life thanks to Lionsgate and WWE Entertainment, who have teamed up to make this the first of a two-picture deal between the two companies. Variety says the second movie in the Lionsgate/WWE deal hasn’t been set yet, and the same can currently be said for a writer, director, and cast of the Leprechaun reboot (but those are minor details in Hollywood nowadays).
