Luke Evans Offered Jason Statham’s Villain Role in ‘Fast & Furious 6’

Just recently a rumor sprouted that Rihanna, who will make her big screen debut in Battleship this summer, might be in the mix for a villain role in Fast and Furious 6 (which just added Michelle Rodriguez back into the mix). While the jury is still out on that one, it seems like she wouldn’t be the main villain as Twitch has word that British actor Luke Evans, who can currently be seen in The Raven, has been offered the lead antagonist role, a part that was originally meant for Jason Statham before The Transporter himself turned it down. Evans is basically a less gruff version of Statham, so it’s not inspired casting, but it makes sense.
