Michael Keaton Getting in Gear for ‘Need for Speed’ at DreamWorks

The near future holds some exciting prospects for Michael Keaton. The former Batman replaced Hugh Laurie as the villain in Jose Padilha’s remake of RoboCop, he has a supporting role in Larry David’s improvised comedy Clear History with plenty of other great comedic talent, and he’s also looking to direct again with a dramatic comedy called Buttercup. Now Heat Vision has word that Keaton has landed a role in Need for Speed, the adaptation of the hit video game series at DreamWorks. Aaron Paul (“Breaking Bad”) leads the film directed by Scott Waugh and written by John Gatins (Flight). So just what is Keaton’s role? Well, the story follows a local street racer (Paul) who partners with a rich and arrogant business associate (Cooper), only to find himself framed by his colleague and sent to prison.
