Michael Rosenbaum Also Up for a Role in ‘Guardians of the Galaxy’

Looks like a former Lex Luthor could be taking a trip to the Marvel universe. Actor Michael Rosenbaum, who played Clark Kent/Superman’s nemesis for over 150 episodes of the CW series “Smallville,” is the latest addition to the shortlist for the leading role of Peter Quill, aka Star-Lord, in Marvel’s upcoming space epic Guardians of the Galaxy. Rosenbaum revealed the news to fans via his Twitter account that he has already auditioned for the role in director James Gunn’s superhero movie, adding his name to a growing list of contenders for what is turning out to be one of the hottest roles in Hollywood right now.
