Rooney Mara in for Carey Mulligan in New Untitled Spike Jonze Film
Last year we heard Carey Mulligan was going to work with director Spike Jonze for her first time in a gestating untitled film that had been described as a satire about how world leaders gather to figure out all the big events that will take place in the world, from oil price fluctuation to wars that will be waged. However, now both of those details have been proven to be completely different. Variety reports that not only is the untitled film actually about a man who falls in love with the voice of a computer, not unlike iPhone’s Siri, but Rooney Mara will replace Mulligan as scheduling conflicts made her unable to commit. Joining Mara will be Joaquin Phoenix in the lead role and Amy Adams and Samantha Morton (who already worked with Jonze in Synecdoche, New York) in supporting roles.
