‘Safety Not Guaranteed’ Director Colin Trevorrow Gets ‘Jurassic Park 4’

Though he was once thought to be lined up to take on Star Wars: Episode VII, instead Safety Not Guaranteed director Colin Trevorrow is taking on another blockbuster sequel. Just a couple of weeks before Jurassic Park 3D hits theaters, Universal Pictures has announced Trevorrow has been hired to direct Jurassic Park 4, the sequel being produced by Steven Spielberg with a script from Rise of the Planet of the Apes writers Rick Jaffa and Amanda Silver. We’d been wondering when a director would be announced since the film needed to start shooting soon in order to meet the June 13th, 2014 release date already set. However, at this point we still have no idea who will star in the film, if any of the original cast members are coming back, or what the story will be.
