Sam Mendes’ ‘Skyfall’ Shooting in Istanbul, Bond Cast & Crew Arrive

Bond’s back in Turkey! This is the third time in the history of the James Bond series that 007 has gone to Istanbul. Back in 1963, From Russia with Love was shot and took place in Istanbul, and 1999’s The World Is Not Enough was also partially set in the city. Now they are back again, as 007.com and Sony’s marketing machine has announced that shooting is starting, launching with a big press conference held at the beautiful Ciragan Palace Kempinski hotel in Istanbul. They posted a short highlight reel from the event, with director Sam Mendes, stars Daniel Craig, Bérénice Marlohe and Naomie Harris all talking about shooting in the city.
