Saoirse Ronan Will Lead Kevin Macdonald’s Indie ‘How I Live Now’

In the past four years, 17-year old actress Saoirse Ronan has enjoyed quite an interesting round of films from Atonement to Hanna, and even a great performance in the The Lovely Bones, even if the film itself left something to be desired. Currently Ronan is shooting Byzantium and will also star in the adaptation of Stephenie Meyer’s The Host, as well as the teenage assassin flick Violet & Daisy with Alexis Bledel. Now Variety has word that the actress has also signed for How I Live Now, an indie drama from Kevin Macdonald (The Last King of Scotland, The Eagle) based on Meg Rosoff’s 2004 novel of the same name. Strangely enough, Ronan is also playing a character named Daisy in this adaptation of the story about a teenage girl from New York City who travels to England to spend the summer with family in the English countryside.
