Steve Carell & Jake Johnson to Lead Mob Comedy from Max Winkler

It’s always interesting to see the next generation of Hollywood come from the elder generation. Bryce Dallas Howard, daughter of director Ron Howard, has quite the career, but there’s another “Happy Days” offspring making a splash in the film industry as well. Max Winkler, son of The Fonz himself Henry Winkler, made his feature directorial debut with the comedy Ceremony, a film produced by Jason Reitman and starring Michael Angarano, Uma Thurman and more (watch it on Netflix Instant now). Deadline has word that Winkler has lined up his next project in an untitled mob comedy, and it’s got a solid cast to start with. Steve Carell and “New Girl” star Jake Johnson (who also stars in Ceremony) are attached to the Warner Bros. film which is actually based on a pitch by Winkler and Johnson.
