‘The Dark Tower’ May Finally Be Constructed at Warner Bros Instead
After Universal passed on the ambitious film and television adaptation of Stephen King’s The Dark Tower, the project was left in turnaround, and its future was unclear. However, last October, producer Brian Grazer said some significant budget cuts in the works would allow the project to get made eventually, it was just a matter of what studio had the balls to get it done. Now Deadline has word that Warner Bros. is close to a deal that will still have Ron Howard behind the camera for at least the first feature film in the series, and Javier Bardem may also still be on board in the lead role of Roland Deschain.
