Watch: Paramount Debuts a Brand New ‘Top Gun’ IMAX 3D Trailer

“So you’re the one?” Paramount has debuted a trailer for their upcoming 3D IMAX re-release of the 1986 action classic Top Gun, directed by the late Tony Scott. Starring Tom Cruise as Maverick, I revisited this movie when Tony Scott passed away last year, and it still holds up as an outstanding aerial combat fighter pilot thriller. Of course they had to go and upgrade it to 3D and put it out on IMAX to sell the experience, but is this really what this movie was made for? A 3D conversion? Maybe the flying scenes will be much more exciting, but what about the rest of it? Still, it’s just cool to see this back in theaters anyway. Check it!
