“It’s mesmerizing.” That’s our quote, credited to FirstShowing.net, that is part of the new 30-second TV spot released by Focus Features for Derek Cianfrance’s legacy epic The Place Beyond the Pines, starring Ryan Gosling, Eva Mendes, Bradley Cooper and Ben Mendelsohn. The first trailer for this film was outstanding, and it’s a film I’ve grown to truly admire, having seen it multiple times already. It’s a bit of a hard sell especially knowing the full story and triptych format, but this TV spot packs quite a bit of energy.
