Weird Trailer for SXSW Snake Church Thriller ‘Holy Ghost People’

“I was wondering if I could join your church.” What in the heck? A trailer has debuted for a film playing at SXSW this month called Holy Ghost People, directed by one of “The Butcher Brothers.” It’s kind of a wilder cult horror-thriller about a girl, played by Emma Greenwell, who goes looking for her sister and ends up at the “Church of One Accord” in the mountains, a snake handling creep town where shit gets crazy real quick. I can’t even call this a crazier Martha Marcy May Marlene because it looks like it goes different places, but damn. Also stars Joe Egender, Brendan McCarthy, Cameron Richardson, Don Harvey.
