‘You’re Next’ Duo Moves from Horror to New ‘The Guest’ Action Thriller

You might recognize director Adam Wingard’s name from his work helming segments of horror anthologies like The ABCs of Death or VHS and S-VHS, because only a lucky few have seen his genre-busting thriller You’re Next, which premiered back at the Toronto International Film Festival in 2011 (read Jeremy’s review from Fantastic Fest). That movie is finally set to be released in August of 2013, but Variety reports that Wingard and writer Simon Barrett have a new film in the works called The Guest, and it takes the duo away from pure horror and into a different kind of genre than they’ve done before.
